How To

What is a battery pack and how do I replace it?

A battery pack is the main power source for the motors of your drone. They provide enough power to keep your quadcopter flying smoothly and safely.

When you buy a new drone, you probably won't notice any difference between the old battery pack and the new one. But your battery pack will eventually become less efficient over time. It might eventually stop functioning altogether. It is important to change the battery to make sure your drone works properly.

It's better to use the original battery pack when replacing it. Otherwise, you risk damaging your drone by installing a faulty battery pack.

These are the steps you need to follow in order to replace a dead battery pack.

  1. Disconnect the battery connector cable. This ensures your drone doesn’t receive any electricity. Simply pull the connector cable off the drone to disconnect it.
  2. Remove the battery pack. Remove the battery pack from your quadcopter's bottom. The battery pack is usually split into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contacts of your battery. After you've taken out the battery pack, search for the battery contacts. These small metal pins connect the battery to the rest of the components inside the drone.
  4. Install the battery. Next, install the new battery into the drone. Then align the battery connectors on the battery pack's two sides. Then, push the battery pack onto the drone. Once this is done, tighten your bolts to secure the battery pack.
  5. Reattach the battery connector cables. Reconnect the battery connector cable after you have installed the new battery pack.
  6. Test the drone. Test your drone before flying it again. You can be proud if your drone still works.
