It is marked GJ-2 by the military. In addition to civilian applications, the Chengdu Wing Loong II has been used in military trials. It was awarded many awards since its inception, including an international patent for the first civilian drone.

Wing Loong can maintain airborne flight for up to 20 hour and can reach speeds of 370kph. The Wing Loong's flight endurance is listed as 27 hours. However, the Chinese company did no provide information about how many flights it had completed during testing. The Wing Loong 2 is not only suitable for military purposes, but can also be used to capture aerial photos, film, and even as surveillance tools. China doesn't publicly advertise its military capabilities.

Caihong 5

China is fast becoming a major supplier UAVs that can strike. China has sold 181 drones, more than three-quarters of which are strike-capable, to 13 countries between 2008 and 2018. In the same time period, the Wing Loong and popular Caihong series made up 35.4%, 53.6% and respectively, 53.6%. The Caihong 5 has a radome nose and upward-pointing V-tail. The Caihong 5 is capable of flying at a height greater than that of the gasoline-powered piston engines, which can reach 7,200 meters. It also has a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, making it more economical to operate. China's Caihong5 drone is the most heavy ever built.

Wing Loong 1E

The newest addition to the Wing Loong family of large unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is the Wing-Loong-1E, a strike-capable, multi-purpose UAV that recently made its maiden flight. Although AVIC has not released any specific details, a prototype was shown at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in 2010. It features an aerodynamic design that is distinctive and upward-pointing, as well as winglets.

The Wing Loong-1E China new drone is manufactured in Chengdu, Sichuan province. This factory specializes in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) and is a sign that China is interested in producing its own drones. Although it is smaller than the predecessor Wing Loong 1E, it is expected be more durable and aerodynamically better. The new drone is expected to have an increased range, endurance, and efficiency.

Wing Loong II

According to rumors, the Wing Loong II Chinese UAV could replace the MQ-1 Predator from the Middle East. According to the company the country has expressed interest in purchasing 300 aircraft unmanned. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other countries have also expressed interest in purchasing the unmanned aircraft. The two nations have agreed to produce 48 units each of the Chinese drone.
